von Stackelberg Hotel, Tallinn

Overview

We have only stayed at the von Stackelberg Hotel, once, but found it to be a comfortable and clean dog-friendly hotel in Tallinn with very good private car parking. The hotel is situated outside of the city center in a lovingly restored old building with a very nice courtyard for a drink (in summer).

Location: Toompuiestee 23, 10137 Tallinn, Estonia. Just opposite the Pööbel Pub and across the street from Kiosk NO 1.

Room Description

We stayed in a slightly upgraded room, which was classified as a “Zen Room” and found it to serve our purposes very well overall. While the Zen room is slightly bigger (19 m2), it still did not offer an overly large amount of space, but it was nicely decorated, very clean, and offered a very comfortable bed with clean linen, a mini-fridge, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and air conditioning. Overall, we were very happy with the room.

Dog-Friendliness

Pet Fee: The charge for pets (as of July 2024) is €35 per stay, which is expensive if you are only staying one night, but reasonable or even cheap if you are staying longer.

Room: There seemed to be a list of pet policies, which included not allowing them on the bed, but we had no problems on checkout. The floor was not carpeted, which we prefer.

Walking and Tinksing: The hotel is in a great location for walking your furry friends as there is a huge park opposite the hotel. Also, just inside the park, less than 5-minutes from the hotel, is a small dog park.

Parking: As of August 2023, parking was €20 per day/24 hours.

Summary

If you are looking for a comfortable and clean dog-friendly hotel in Tallinn (outside of the city center), then the von Stackelberg Hotel seems to be a good choice, especially if secure parking and nearby dog walking are priorities. However, the pet fee is expensive if only staying one night.
