Overview
Tasca Portuguesa is a lovely dog-friendly Portuguese restaurant in Tallin old town with great service, delicious food at reasonable prices, and a comfortable yet modern ambiance. We have been here twice, once for dinner and once for happy hour cocktails and snacks.
Our Experiences: Food, Drink and Prices
On our first visit we had a great evening and enjoyed many very well-prepared dishes and some good drinks. For example, we had some very light and fluffy Bacalhau (salt cod) croquettes, a very interesting and unique Bacalhau chickpea salad (houmous 3.0), and a perfectly cooked rump steak. However, the standout dish for us was the Bacalhau main course served with fried onions and potatoes. In addition to the food, we enjoyed some well-kept draft beers and a couple of excellent glasses of Portuguese red wine. All the food and drinks were reasonably priced with the bill being €108.
On our second visit, we just had a happy hour G&T and Aperol Spritz, and a portion of the Bacalhau croquettes.
Summary
All in all, Tasca Portuguesa is a lovely dog-friendly Portuguese restaurant in Tallin that is very highly recommended. Our only complaint is that the toilets are very unappealing; not the cleanest, no toilet seat, and very cramped.
