Overview

Bad Habits in Balti Jaama has quickly become one of our favourite casual spots in Balti Jaama market. Super dog-friendly barbecue restaurant with friendly staff, delicious BBQ and Americana menu, and an easy-going vibe. Whether just for a beer, a snack, or full meal, it is a great choice.

Atmosphere & Dog-Friendliness

Both the indoor space and the outside terrace are comfortable and well-maintained, with plenty of room and a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. On each visit, our dog was warmly welcomed—offered water right away—and there’s ample space to settle in. Clean, relaxed, and accommodating, it’s a great place to visit with or without a furry friend.

Food

Our experience with the food is still limited, but everything we’ve tried has been excellent. The BBQ rib tips were juicy and full of flavour, with a nice balance of smoke and char. The Mac’n’Cheese was creamy, rich, and comforting—exactly what you’d hope for. The cheeseburger was also a standout: juicy, well-seasoned, and simply delicious. Also, the rack of ribs were excellent; fall off the bone, nicely smoked,and not too sweet! Based on what we’ve tried, we’re definitely planning to return and explore more of the menu.

Drinks

We’ve visited a couple of times just for drinks and always found the local draft beer to be fresh and ice-cold. While we haven’t yet sampled the cocktails, they look and sound good. They also offer a decent selection of other beverages, including bottles, cans, and non-alcoholic options.

Value

Prices are very reasonable given the quality and portion sizes. Good food, good drinks, and a relaxed setting all add up to excellent value in our opinion.

Overall

Bad Habits is great dog-friendly barbecue restaurant in Tallinn – perfect for casual drinks or a laid-back meal. Add to that the friendly service and very dog-friendly attitude, and it’s easy to recommend. We’ll definitely be back!
