Overview
BONKER Moodcourt is a fun, dog-friendly mini food hall tucked just behind Tampere train station—so close you can almost access it without leaving the platform. It’s home to just a few vendors, but offers a lively atmosphere, great food options for all diets, and a solid bar. We’ve visited a couple of times and enjoyed both the food and the vibe.
Atmosphere & Dog-Friendliness
The space channels an old-school American arcade feel with neon lights and retro video games, giving it a playful, nostalgic charm. It’s casual, colorful, and fully dog-friendly—Bertie was welcomed warmly by the staff, which always makes a big difference.
Food
The standout for us has been TNT – Tacos ’n’ Tequila, where we tried the al pastor and chicken tinga tacos—fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Soft tortillas, nicely spiced fillings, and a good balance of ingredients made these some of the best tacos we’ve had in Finland. The second eatery, Hoax, specializes in vegan comfort food like shawarmas, burgers, and Korean fried “chicken”—we have only tries there pinxtos offering when they participated in pinxtos week, but it looks great and gets strong reviews.
As of recently, Slicemonger has joined the lineup, serving excellent New York-style pizza—a great addition that adds even more reason to visit.
Drink
We’ve only sampled a few drinks from Noob Bar, but the draft beer and tequila were fresh and enjoyable. The bar also offers cocktails, canned and bottled beers, wine, and soft drinks—plenty to suit any mood.
Summary
BONKER Moodcourt may be small, but it packs in a lot: great tacos, vegan comfort food, quality drinks, retro arcade fun, and a friendly, dog-welcoming vibe. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or hanging out for drinks and games, it’s a unique and lively spot worth checking out.
