Overview
O’Connell’s is a comfortable and relaxing dog-friendly Irish-themed pub in Tampere serving good drinks and solid looking bar food. While some guest beers are on the pricy side, they serve a wide selection of draft beers and ciders, bottled and canned beers, spirits, cocktails, and wines by the glass, along with a varied pub food menu.
Atmosphere & Dog-Friendliness
The pub has a cozy, welcoming feel and plenty of space for furry friends. Staff are always friendly, offer water for dogs, and sometimes even bring treats. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in for a relaxed afternoon or evening.
Food
While we haven’t eaten here yet, the menu looks and smells great, with options like hot sandwiches, pies, salads, and pub classics such as fish & chips, sausages with mash or chips, and chicken & chips.
Drinks
A great spot for a pint—Guinness and Kilkenny are both excellent, and the selection of Finnish and European lagers is good. Prices are generally reasonable, but some of the guest beers can be pricy, so best to ask before you order.
Summary
A friendly, dog-welcoming pub with good drinks, good looking food, and a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth a visit for a pint or two, with or without a four-legged companion.
