Pub Pikilinna

Overview

Pub Pikilinna is a very comfortable and traditional dog-friendly pub in Tampere (Tammela) that offers a limited selection of draft beers and ciders, plenty of bottled and canned beers, spirits, and (I think) wines by the glass or bottle. Like Sisko ja sen Veli and Laivaravintola Suvi, the pub does not offer food, but Pikilinna is a great place to go for a drink in a real pub.

Atmoshphere and Dog-Friendliness

The pub is dog-friendly with lots pf space both inside and out. The inside of the pub has a relaxing and cosy atmosphere which is very welcoming on a cold winter’s day or night. It has its original decor so feels like a proper pub, which is rare these days. In the summer, you can buy and enjoy your drinks on their lovely, shaded terrace opposite the pub. The terrace has plenty of seats and is a welcome place to relax with a cold drink.

Drinks

We have only tried a few draft beers (all half a litre); Aura Lager, Guinness, and a couple guest IPAs, and they all are very well-kept and served. The Guinness is a good find and is always fresh and poured well, much like Pub Simon. All prices are fairly standard for Tampere.

Summary

Whether you have a furry companion or not, if you are looking for a relaxing dog-friendly pub in Tampere for a drink or two, especially if you are in the Tammela area, Pub Pikilinna is a great option.
